DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur firefighters battled a house fire on Sparrow Drive early Tuesday morning.

The fire started around 4:30 a.m. Firefighters said a side building caught on fire, and the flames spread to the side of the house. Two people were at home, but they got out okay.

The side of the building sustained major damage. There's no word yet on a cause.
