Helping all from the injured to the homeless on an icy night

Good Monday evening. I hope you're staying nice and warm on this bone-chilling night.

We're digging deeper into efforts by emergency responders in Huntsville today as they respond to injuries and other weather-related problems. As WAFF 48's Sarah Navoy reports, they're seeing everything from hypothermia to falls on icy surfaces.

We're also following this plumbers on this pipe-bursting night. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux followed along with a local plumber tonight to see how busy they are and what sort of calls they're answering.

We're also following some local residents who've taken it upon  themselves to help the less fortunate on this bitterly cold night. Three local women and one of their children are traveling to Huntsville's "tent city" to help feed some of the homeless in the community.  Tomorrow, they plan to deliver warmer clothing. It's a heart-warming story you don't want to miss.

We'll see you on WAFF 48 News at 10.
