CROSSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A DeKalb County police officer is on leave after an alleged domestic incident with his wife.

34-year-old Jason Wade Johnson was booked into the DeKalb County Jail Monday on charges of domestic violence. The officer had filed for divorce against his wife on Thursday.

The charges come after a complaint was filed by Anna Johnson. Jason was then served with a warrant.

He remains with the Crossville Police Department, but officials there said he is on leave with pay pending the outcome of the court case.

No court date has been set.
