HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Hundreds of people braved the wind, cold, and rain Thursday morning to try and grab a good deal at the former Holiday Inn of Downtown Huntsville.

The hotel shut down last month, and liquidators are now selling off everything that isn't bolted down, including televisions and furniture.

One man said he picked up a good deal on something that, in hindsight, actually was bolted down at some point.

"If nothing else, the safes were worth it," said John Anthony. "At $85 apiece, you program them yourself, but there's a lot of other items that are priced fairly well."

The sale will continue Friday morning and continue until Feb. 1, or when the last item is bought.
