Another Huntsville Subway robbed

Posted: Updated:
Two Huntsville Subway restaurants have been robbed since Dec. 20. Two Huntsville Subway restaurants have been robbed since Dec. 20.

An employee of the Subway at the 3500 block of North Memorial Parkway came into work Tuesday and told the store owner that she was robbed while closing the store the night before.

She told Huntsville Police that she and her husband were about to close the store at 10 p.m. Monday when a man entered wearing a ski mask and pointed a gun at her, demanding money. Once the man had the cash in hand, he warned her not to call the police because "the people I have in the parking lot watching" would do something if she did.

The robber fled the store on foot heading toward Redstone Credit Union. The woman closed the store and went home without calling police. There was no report of injury.

When she opened Tuesday morning, she called the store owner to inform of what happened. The owner told her to call the police. The investigation is ongoing.

The incident is among a rash of year-end robberies in the Valley. A Subway restaurant at the 6200 block of Old Madison Pike was robbed on Dec. 20
