NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police say an endangered child alert has been canceled after an 11-year-old Nashville girl who had been reported missing was found safe.

Priscila Mota had last been seen at her residence in south Nashville at approximately 11:30 p.m. Monday.

When her mother checked on her later, she found the window in her bedroom open and the screen removed.

Family members said they believe the girl ran away because she was upset.

She was located Tuesday just before 6 p.m.
