DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur police arrested a man accused of shooting into an apartment building.

Officers arrested James Edward Holmon Tuesday. He is accused of an incident that took place at an apartment on Gaslight Place in September.

The resident of the apartment told investigators she was in the living room of her apartment with several friends the night of Sept. 16 when a black four-door pickup stopped in front of the apartment. A man identified as Holmon by the people at the apartment said he pulled out a handgun and fired multiple times, striking the building.

Holmon turned himself in at the police department following the issuance of a warrant for shooting into an occupied dwelling. He was taken to the Morgan County Jail and held on $5,000 bond.
