HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - With all the cold weather, we're bound to see more potholes and cracks popping up on our roads. One neighborhood that could use some help? The Edgemont neighborhood in Huntsville, specifically Mastin Lake Road.
The viewer reporting on See, Click, Fix noted that there's a bad pothole that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. It's hard to tell because there are a lot of cracks. Road crews call them "skin patches;" It's where part of the top layer of asphalt is gone.
We had another comment about the same problem in the same area. The City of Huntsville is aware and will send out a work crew to patch it.
We saw the same thing on Rideout Drive, though it looks like the road crew already beat us to it. You can see some old patches there, but there are some dark patches, too. Those are the new ones.
There's a string of those potholes up and down the road but, again, it appears most or all of them have been patched.
