MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The former executive director of a Marshall County tourism organization pleaded not guilty to theft charges.

Lisa Socha was arrested in August by ABI agents for theft of funds dealing with her position with the Marshall County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Socha handled lodging taxes and surcharges which funded her agency. She was later fired.

A trial date has not been set.
