DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

A Decatur car dealership made a large donation of two-wheeled vehicles Thursday.

Lynn Layton Chevrolet donated more than 100 bicycles to the Marines' Toys for Tots campaign. This is the third year the dealership has done this; they are donating one bike for every car sold.

The donations will continue through Christmas. The coordinator for the local Toys for Tots campaign said this donation will allow them to give a bike to every family on their list, but they are still low on toys this year.

As the days before Christmas dwindle down, there's precious little time available to donate toys to the program.

"We need toys. So, everybody in the community, we're trying to pull the community together. We still have a lot of families; I still have two more days of distribution – tomorrow and Saturday. We are open from 8 to 8. If you can come down, make a monetary donation, make a toy donation. That would really help us out because we are really running a little low this year," said Staff Sergeant Michael Williams.
