A main break sent water rushing in an area along Hurricane Road Saturday night.
Prosecutors will ask a judge to increase bond for two men accused of holding a child hostage for sexual purposes.
Carl Phillip Herold and his domestic partner, Charles Walker Dunnavant, face multiple sex charges for crimes involving a child.
Assistant District Attorney Gabrielle Helix said the men sexually abused the child continuously. Helix said the men took the child out of state more than once for sexual purposes.
The child did not attend school and according to Helix he was held "effectively captive" for eight months.
Law enforcement arrested Herold last month. U.S. Marshals arrested Dunnavant last week in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
Court documents state Herold is under investigation for additional state charges and federal charges in connection to this case.
Herold will be in court Tuesday for a bond hearing. Prosecutors will ask the judge to raise bond to $1 million. They plan to seek the same bond amount for Dunnavant.
Helix said the men have very little connection to North Alabama and are a threat to the community.
