(WMC-TV) - The K-LOVE Christmas Tour returned to its original Raleigh location Friday, despite earlier concerns about safety.

Meredith Andrews did the sound check at Raleigh Assembly of God, which has the capacity for 1,800 people. He made sure the sound was clear for a great show with Christian entertainers like Big Daddy Weave and King and Country.

Worship pastor Ben Kirk says it means a lot to the community to have the concert at Raleigh Assembly of God.

"I think it's huge for our community and our city to rally behind our community [and] to rally behind this concert ... Come out and support and everybody with the ticket sales increased just this week ... So it could be a possible sell out tonight," said Kirk.

K-LOVE moved the concert from Raleigh Assembly of God to a church in Cordova earlier this fall because some listeners complained about safety. The concert came back to Raleigh assembly after Action News 5's story aired about the controversy.

"Wherever it was ... I would go. I love K-LOVE. Wherever they're having a concert, I would have been there," said fan Fox Bartlett.

Raleigh Assembly decided to stay in the declining community to help bring it back, and that is why, Kirk says, the concert is so important.
