HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A lawsuit filed in Madison County Circuit Court states a fast food customer ate food contaminated with human blood.

The complaint states it happened at the Sonic on Bob Wallace Avenue in Huntsville. The lawsuit doesn't explain how the blood allegedly made it into the food.

The plaintiff wants this case to go to a jury.

Sonic representatives said they can't speak about the case but released a quote stating in part, "Food safety is the utmost priority. Matters like this are taken very seriously and we are working to investigate the claims."
