HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

She went into a store carrying one purse. She left with two. Police said she didn't buy that second purse; she stole it.

The thief went five-finger shopping at the Walmart Supercenter on South Memorial Parkway in Huntsville Dec. 2. Police said she went into the store with one purse, but left with two. You can see a black purse and a reddish-colored purse in the footage.

Normally when someone steals a purse, they're after what's inside: cash, credit cards and checks. There was several hundred dollars worth inside the purse that was stolen here. According to police, the purse itself attracted the thief. If you look closely, you can see it was a designer purse which, in and of itself, is worth several hundred dollars.

Update: Thanks to the ever-vigilant watch of Crime Stoppers viewers like you, this woman was quickly identified as Briana Marie Langley. In fact, Langley tried to turn herself in. The investigation isn't finished, but she will be charged with theft once it is complete.

Thank you once again for your help!

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
