HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Governor Robert Bentley signed an executive order Tuesday, creating a commission to address delivery services for veterans.

The Alabama Executive Veterans Network, or AlaVetNet, is charged with finding better ways to provide services for service members, veterans and their families.

Veterans currently suffer long wait times for their benefits. Members of the US House Committee on Veterans Affairs said they have asked the VA for information on issues like poor service or a security breach in VA computers.

They said they haven't received answers for weeks, months, and in some cases, more than a year.

That committee launched a website called Trials in Transparency. It lists requirements for information that have not been answered.
