MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - The sun was shining today, a stark contrast to the rain the past few days and some of the road problems it left behind. We found a pothole at 1150 Balch Road. It's a little hard to find until you hit it and feel it.
That's why one driver reported it. A patch job ought to help. We've contacted Madison County's Public Works Department to let them know about it.
Not far away in Madison, a stretch of Slaughter Road got worse with the recent rain.
It's a stretch that runs from U.S. Highway 72 south. Some of the cracks have spread and gotten a little deeper. Here's where this one gets interesting. Three government agencies share the maintenance on Slaughter Road - Madison, Madison County and Huntsville. All three now know about the problems there.
And you can't really blame the recent rain for these cracks on Old Monrovia Road just north of University Drive in Huntsville.
One person commented on See, Click, Fix that the road's needed repaving for a long time. It's one of those older roads that we've featured a lot here on See, Click, Fix. The issue is there are a lot of roads in the same condition and it will take a while to repave them.
