SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The jolly man in blue needs toy donations for children. Every year Brunswick police officer Todd Rhodes dons his blue Santa suit and leads the campaign to collect toys for children in need. He calls it Coppa Claus.

The former Savannah police officer and now pastor has been doing this for 20 years.

"We just want to spread love and help people because where there is a need, love does abound. That's been our mission since the inception. We just love God and we love people and we want to do all we can to help them," Rhodes said.

Drop new, unwrapped toys at the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Dept. headquarters on Habersham Street until Dec. 20 or at the Brunswick Police Dept. headquarters until Dec. 14. They are accepting gift card donations for older children.
