DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur Police arrested Molly Moses on several drug charges after they say she sold several pounds of high grade marijuana.

Investigators say Moses sold hydroponic marijuana (high grade) three different times during the investigation. During each transaction, Moses sold hundreds of dollars worth of the drug. Police say the street value of the pot was about $3,000 to $3,500 per pound. They say during the operation, Moses offered to sell a pound of marijuana for that price.

Warrants were obtained for Moses' arrest. When officers went to arrest her, investigators found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Moses' home.

Moses was placed under arrest and charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Molly Moses was in the news several years ago when she was injured in a boating accident that caused her to lose her leg.

After news of Moses' arrest, LifeSouth Community Blood Center pulled several public service announcements featuring Moses.

A LifeSouth official sent a statement that says, "We are very saddened by the news received today and no not wish to add additional fuel to what is a hopeful misunderstanding."

Moses was released from custody on a $16,000 bond.
