A Nashville man who allegedly skipped town after police started investigating him for child pornography has been arrested.

Police say Jeffrey Qualls was hiding more than 2,000 miles away in San Francisco. Qualls has since been returned to Nashville and was booked into the Metro jail.

The investigation into Qualls for his alleged connection to a child pornography sharing network started in August.

The 54-year-old is accused of using the network to download lewd pictures involving preschool-aged children.

Police say they found marijuana hidden in a Crayola Crayon box during a search of Qualls' home on Sonya Drive in west Nashville.

Qualls has been booked on four charges for child sexual exploitation and drug possession.
