Gameday rules set for McNeese's playoff game; Cowbells not allowed

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese State will host its first FCS playoff game in four years on Saturday when the No. 6 national seed Cowboys take on Jacksonville State at 6 p.m. in the second round of bracket play.

With the playoffs, fans are reminded there are a new set of rules that are required by the NCAA.

Artificial noise-makers, including cowbells, will not be allowed in Cowboy Stadium.  Fans trying to enter the venue with cowbells will have them confiscated at the gate.

Also, fans will not be allowed on the field following the game at any time.  During the season, McNeese allowed fans to take the field after a 10-minute period.  That's not the case on Saturday as the field will be off limits the entire time.

Just like the regular season, fans will get a great gameday atmosphere.  The Para Pokes skydiving team will soar into Cowboy Stadium in pregame, weather permitting, and the Buccaneers will have the cannon ready to fire as well as the Pride of McNeese State marching band performing a pregame and halftime show.

Tickets are still on sale at the McNeese ticket office or online at  General admission tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for ages 12-17, $5 for ages 3-11, $25 for reserved, and $41 for premium seating (Touchdown Club, Blue and Gold level).
