Auburn continues work toward SEC Championship

SEC Western Division Champion and third-ranked Auburn went through a two-hour workout in shells at the Auburn Athletics Complex practice fields on Wednesday continuing preparation for Saturday's SEC Championship Game against No. 5 Missouri in Atlanta's Georgia Dome at 3 pm CT on CBS.

"We had a solid practice tonight," said Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn. "In fact, we've had a good week of practice. We have to improve from last week's game to have a chance to win. We're playing one of the best teams in the country. Emotion is what has concerned me more than anything, but we've been extremely focused and businesslike. Our focus has been on Missouri, and it should be."

Auburn (11-1, 7-1 SEC) and Missouri (11-1, 7-1 SEC) meet for the second time in history dating back to the 1973 Sun Bowl. This is Auburn's fifth appearance in the SEC Championship Game.

The game can be heard on the Auburn IMG Sports Network, XM Satellite Radio channel 199 and Sirius channel 92.

Auburn will return to the practice field Thursday before traveling to Atlanta on Friday.
