Christmas parades rescheduled due to inclement weather

NORTH ALABAMA (WAFF) -

Because of the chance of inclement weather this week, several cities have postponed or canceled their Christmas parades.

The Albertville Christmas parade has been moved to Thursday, Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m. City officials said the rescheduling is due to weather.

The Boaz Chamber of Commerce also announced a rescheduling of their Christmas parade. The parade was originally scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6 but has now been moved to Friday, Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

In Athens, city also announced a change in parade dates. the Reliance Bank Christmas Parade has been moved to Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.

Sheffield's Christmas parade that was scheduled for Dec. 5 has been canceled.

The Arab Christmas parade originally scheduled for Thursday night will be Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.

Russellville's parade and all associated events are postponed until Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.
