HOOVER, AL (WAFF) - A suspect has been charged in a Hoover Iron Bowl party shooting.
Adrian Laroze Briskey, 28, of Birmingham, is charged with murder for the shooting death of Michelle Lacette Shepherd, 36, of Birmingham.
Hoover Police responded to a shooting at Summerchase Apartments around 7 p.m. Saturday, shortly after the conclusion of the Iron Bowl.
Officers found Shepherd dead at the scene. Investigators say the victim and suspect had attended an Iron Bowl party at the apartment complex. Hoover Police say Shepherd and another woman got into an argument after the game and that argument moved to the parking lot.
Briskey was taken into custody at the scene.
Hoover detectives met with the Shelby County District Attorney Monday to present the case and a warrant was issued for the charge of murder.
Briskey will be transferred from the Hoover City Jail to the Shelby County Jail. Her bond is set at $75,000.
