Good Tuesday evening. Here are a few of the stories we're working on here in the WAFF 48 newsroom.
We're continuing to follow a chance of snow across the Tennessee Valley overnight. But while we're only expecting a dusting here, the snow elsewhere might pose a problem for travelers here in the Valley. The day before Thanksgiving is traditionally the busiest travel day of the year. And that holiday travel through the air might be affected for air travel here in the North Alabama because of problems elsewhere. WAFF 48's Shumuriel Ratliff will have more on this "domino effect."
We're also continuing to dig deeper into the breaking news we first brought you earlier this evening on WAFF 48 News at 6. Limestone County convicted rapist Austin Clem is now scheduled to be re-sentenced for his crime. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux will have more on this developing story following the outcry from the public after a judge didn't sentence Clem to any jail time for his crime.
We'll also have a look at a young Morgan County boy who's battling leukemia, and the support he's receiving from an Alabama football star. Even during Iron Bowl week, this will probably put the game into perspective for you.
