TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Two people have been detained as part of what Tucson Police say is an abuse case involving multiple children.

According to Sgt. Chris Widmer, a man and a woman described as the mother and father were detained after police responded to a residence in the 2800 block of North Estrella Avenue at about 4 a.m. for "a serious child abuse, child neglect and imprisonment investigation."

Widmer said multiple children are involved.

A large TPD evidence van is at the location and police expect to be collecting evidence for several hours.
