TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The top-ranked Alabama football team held its first practice of the week on Monday at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields where it began preparing for this week's matchup against No. 4/5 Auburn. Saturday's game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and will air nationally on CBS.
The Crimson Tide holds a 42-34-1 lead in the series that dates back to the 1893 season. Alabama and Auburn first met on Feb. 22, 1893, at Birmingham's Lakeview Park with the Tigers claiming 32-22 victory in the inaugural meeting. Alabama has had the upper hand in recent meetings, claiming four of the last five meetings, including two straight.
