DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur police arrested two people on drug charges Friday.

During September, authorities said Decatur police's organized crime unit investigated the illegal sales of prescription drugs and marijuana from a woman known as Shelika Moore. Over the course of this investigation, police said Moore sold quantities of prescription drugs three times and marijuana one time.

On Friday, police said they executed a narcotics search warrant on the 600 block of Pumpkin Drive and detained Moore and a male identified as Michael Sewell. After a search of the residence, investigators said they found additional quantities of prescription drugs, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Moore was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Moore was booked into Decatur City Jail, and then transferred to Morgan County Jail on a $26,000 bond.

Sewell was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into Decatur City Jail on a $1,000 bond.
