COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The CEO of National Steel Car Corporation is back in Colbert County to face state fraud charges.

Gregory Aziz was escorted by officials with the securities commission and was booked into jail Tuesday afternoon.

A Colbert County grand jury indicted Aziz on ten counts of securities fraud. According to the indictment, it all happened between September 2006 and July 2009.

Officials said Aziz created a scheme to defraud the Retirement Systems of Alabama by supplying false financial information and making false statements on transactions between Aziz and RSA.

If convicted, Aziz could face ten years in prison, fines, and be ordered to pay restitution. Sheriff Ronnie May said Aziz has a bond hearing Thursday.

RSA is the primary lender of WAFF's parent company, Raycom Media.
