HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Over 5,000 cases of pre-sliced apples are being recalled due to a possible health risk from Listeria.

The recall covers six varieties of CrunchPak brand sliced apples with a use-by date of Nov. 14. A full list of the items covered by this recall can be found at the FDA website.

No illnesses have been reported. The company sold the recalled product to retail customers and in some cases, the product was shipped to regional distribution centers. For this reason, CrunchPak took the precaution of issuing a nationwide recall.

The company is calling retail customers who received the product directly from the company and asking them to remove the product from store shelves.
