Suspect that prompted Scottsboro High lockdown in custody

JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Scottsboro High lifted its lockdown late Tuesday afternoon, after police and Jackson County Sheriff's deputies located the suspect they were trying to serve a search warrant for.

The school went into lockdown as a precautionary measure, according to Scottsboro Police.

Jackson County authorities said they were serving a search warrant in the area, when the suspect ran off on foot.

The suspect was caught a few hours later during a traffic stop. Investigators found the suspect hiding in the trunk of the car.

The name of the suspect has not yet been released.
