My Take - Patriots Mosaic Project

In early 2013,  the Historic Huntsville Depot received a grant to fund the construction of a gateway between the Depot Grounds and the Madison County Veterans Memorial.  On Veterans day the Patriots Mosaic Project was unveiled for the first time.  People throughout the Tennessee Valley submitted photos of area veterans and those photos were put together to form a 15 foot square mosaic that you can view at the at the grounds of the Historic Huntsville depot and exhibit.  The Mosaic combines over 12 hundred photographs of local veterans. The project itself has been five months in the making.  Along with the Mosaic visitors will also notice the new Gothic Guild Patriot's Gateway that will lead to the Veterans Memorial and new educational kiosks.  Every picture tells a story and visitors will be able to see this new and pay tribute to those local soldier who served our country and are now available for all of us to see.
