DOTHAN, AL (WAFF) - A Florida couple is facing federal charges for an alleged bank robbing spree that spanned over two states.
FBI agents arrested 28-year-old Immanuel Lee Williams and his wife, Care Lee Williams, this week at their Tampa home. They're accused of robbing 13 banks in Florida and two in Alabama, including one last week in Dothan.
Authorities say they used disguises and notes to demand money. Federal investigators also say the robberies took place between December 2012 and November 2013.
Each suspect faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison.
