Good Friday evening and TGIF! Here's a look at a few of the stories we're working on here in the WAFF 48 Newsroom.
We're following up on a WAFF 48 Investigative Report we aired last night at 10. It involves state lawmakers receiving tickets to Alabama and Auburn football games at face value. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux had the chance to get a response from Governor Robert Bentley on this controversial issue. Don't miss his follow-up report at 10.
We're also investigating two Valley cities reaping the economic benefits of a stretch of highway in Madison County. WAFF 48's Shumuriel Ratliff is digging deeper into the continued growth of restaurants and shops along Highway 72. We'll hear from Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle and Madison Mayor Troy Truloch on the important economic growth to both cities.
We'll also have an update on this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers crime of the Week. Thanks to your tips, the thief shown stealing expensive cologne from a local store has been identified.
Those stories and more on WAFF 48 News at 10.
