FALKVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A wild call for the Morgan County Sheriff's Office ended with two brothers behind bars.

The duo lives on the 300 block of Jewel LaSalle Lane in Falkville. Thursday night, neighbors called 911, saying the brothers were fighting and that one was shooting a gun.

When deputies arrived, they found Jerry and Larry Nelson heavily intoxicated. Deputies said Larry ran into a trailer and barricaded the door.

When authorities tried to break in, Larry grabbed a can of gasoline and threatened to throw it into a lit fireplace. When deputies got inside, four of them took Larry down and cuffed him.

Meanwhile, other deputies were arresting Jerry in another trailer on the same property.

Sheriff Ana Franklin said on the way to jail, Jerry smashed a rear window in the patrol car, which has since been fixed. Franklin said domestic calls can be the most unpredictable.

"Weapons were involved. There was alcohol and alleged substance abuse. It was just completely out of control," said Sheriff Franklin.

Jerry and Larry Nelson each face several charges. Jerry is charged with obstructing a government operation. Larry is charged with two counts of domestic violence against his brother and his father.
