MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle wreck in Madison County, Thursday morning.

The wreck happened around 9 a.m. on Highway 53 and Old Railroad Bed Road near Toney.

According to deputies, an SUV and a semi-truck were involved. The driver of the SUV was taken to Huntsville Hospital by HEMSI.

Highway 53 was closed for an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.

Alabama State Troopers will continue to investigate.
