JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A man reported missing at the Walls of Jericho in Jackson County, was found alive Thursday afternoon.

A little banged up, with a knot on his forehead, 71-year-old Mack Orick of Knoxville was found around 2 p.m. Thursday. He was greeted by family members after he went missing Wednesday morning.

He was headed to Northeast Mississippi but told family members he wanted to stop along the way to take pictures. When he wasn't heard from again, a search began at 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Orick's brother Jimmy said he didn't know how to feel, shortly after seeing Mack put in an ambulance around 2:30.

"Of course, you know, we're thrilled for him to be back, mad at him for ever doing this on his own," Jimmy said.

Family members said Jimmy was taken to the hospital to be checked out. They said they cannot thank rescue personnel enough for their efforts in finding Mack.
