Crime Stoppers: Eau de déjà vu

Our thief took some eau de cologne into la toilette. Our thief took some eau de cologne into la toilette.
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A case of criminal déjà vu in this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers.

We've told you about a valley cosmetics and fragrance store that's been hit by thieves several times before.

Now that number it's happened again.

The thief police are looking for is seen clearly on store surveillance video at the Ulta Cosmetics and Fragrances store at the Bridge Street Town Center June 30.

He's seen picking up a box of expensive cologne.

Huntsville Police said he went to the restroom, where he took the bottle out of the box, threw the box in the garbage can, then left the store with the cologne.

A look into our archives reveals this is the fifth time this Ulta store has been featured on Crime Stoppers as our Crime of the Week.

The first time was April 2012, about a year and a half ago.

Of the previous four crimes of the week, you helped us solve two of them.

Thanks to a large number of viewer tips, we have been told the thief has been identified. Huntsville Police are preparing an arrest warrant for him. Once again, your tips have paid off.
