HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Heroes Week kicked off on Wednesday in the Tennessee Valley.

Thirty wounded warriors from all over the country will fly into the Huntsville International Airport at 2:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. From there, they'll be shuttled over to the Westin Hotel at Bridgestreet. They will arrive at 3:10 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively.

These heroes will participate in Heroes Week events, including dinners, fishing, a Veterans Day parade and a country music concert.

The public is invited to come out and welcome them at the airport at either or at the Westin afterwards.

Some of the people planning to welcome these warriors include the Chase Park Church of Christ congregation. This will be the third year that the congregation will greet them at the airport.
