HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Three men were arrested by Huntsville Police after they broke into a home Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to 403 Greenacres Drive just before 11 a.m. Tuesday for a burglary call.

A woman who lives on Greenacres Drive said she saw three men ring a bell and knock on a door of the house across the street. When no one answered, they kicked in the door. The neighbor then called police. When officers arrived, the offenders ran out of the home.

Two men drove away from the scene in a truck. Police arrested 26-year-old Michael Baker and 47-year-old Larry Dorsey.

The third burglar got away in a van. Video surveillance helped police track down 31-year-old Lamar Jones. All three men were charged with third-degree burglary.

Police were able to return all of the items back to homeowner Denise Watson.

"I'm glad they didn't make away with anything, but it's still the emotional thing, you know. I still have to be here every day. What if it happens again," Watson said.

Neighbors said if it does happen again, they will notice because they look out for one another on Greenacres Dr.

"We're not noisy. We just watch for our people and we've got to do that or there's going to be more burglaries," said Jo Anne Summers.

Investigators believe the suspects are the same men who were behind a burglary that happened on the same block on Monday.

Officials with the Huntsville Community Watch Association said this story should be a reminder to all communities to know your neighbor and if you see anything suspicious, to alert the authorities.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
