The Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC) will celebrate its 50th anniversary for a second time on Nov. 10 outside the Hospitality House on the Shoals campus.

Dr. Humphrey Lee, NW-SCC president, said that the event will celebrate the founding of the state's first junior college in 1963 as well as the success of the college today. This second celebration will honor specific individuals and allow attendees to reminisce with former graduates, faculty, staff and retirees, Dr. Lee said.

The event will feature Dr. Larry McCoy, former NW-SCC president, as the Master of Ceremonies, live music, food and more. NW-SCC invites all former graduates, retirees, faculty, staff and students to join in celebrating the college's anniversary.

In the event of rain, the celebration will be moved to the Patriot Center.
