Thursday Night High School Swim Meet in North Alabama

In North Alabama High School Swim League action Thursday night,  Westminster sweep both boys and girls in topping Pope John Paul II and Sparkman in a SportsMed Double Dual Swim Meet at the Alabama A&M Swim Complex.


In Girls action, Westminster ran their record to 6-2 in beating both Pope John Paul  69-21 and Sparkman 74-19.  Sparkman girls (4-2) topped the Pope John Paul girls 53-36.   Swimming for Westminster, Megan Hinely won the 200 Individual Medley, the 100 Fly, and the 100 Breast, while teammate  Olivia Conners won the 200 Free and the 500 Free.  Alana Janssen of Pope John Paul II won the 50 Free, the 100 Free, and the 100 Back.


The Westminster boys ran their record to 6-2 in beating both Sparkman 85-4 and Pope John Paul 63-28.  Pope John Paul boys (4-1) topped the Sparkman boys 47-23.  For the Westminster boys, Chase Dowling and Issac DeVanney each won two events.  Dowling won the 100 Back and the 500 Free, while DeVanney won the 100 Free and the 200 Individual Medley.  Westminster's Braxton Conners won the 50 Free.  For Pope John Paul II, Sam Vasquez won the 200 Free, Jackson Graves won the 100 Fly, and Macon Graves won the 100 Breast.
