Rosenco, Inc., has today unveiled the first database of faculty members and universities in the United States, FacultyUSA.org
MIAMI, Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rosenco, Inc., a Florida-based consulting firm, has today announced the availability of the first-ever database of United States universities and faculty members. The purpose of FacultyUSA.org is to provide a "one-stop" solution for faculty members to ensure publicly available information concerning their place of employment, credentials and education is correct, while connecting these highly educated professionals with universities throughout the nation.
Education currently accounts for more than 3% of GDP, but no one knows how many faculty members currently serve the industry. In fact, no one actually knows how many universities there are within the nation. FacultyUSA.org is designed to rectify that.
The website currently holds records for over half a million faculty members and more than 2,000 universities, although this is only a small percentage of the records the site will hold when complete. Estimates put the number of total faculty members in the United States somewhere around 1.5 million, but that figure is by no means 100% accurate.
For faculty members, FacultyUSA.org offers significant advantages. For $200 per year ($0.55 per day), faculty members can control what others see, create their own profiles, market themselves to universities, connect with others and ensure their information is 100% accurate and up to date. According to Dr. Chris Rose, founder of FacultyUSA.org, record accuracy is one of the most important benefits offered.
"I searched my own name and found I was listed with an MS," states Dr. Rose. "That's true, but I really have an AS, a BS, an MBA, an MS, a Doctorate and a Doctoral specialization. If a university were seeking faculty, perhaps they would have passed right over my name because only an MS was listed." FacultyUSA.org provides a central location, a single database, and the means for faculty members to ensure their information is completely accurate, thereby improving their ability to find employment.
FacultyUSA.org also offers benefits to universities, which are able to promote their school to prospective faculty members, locate ideal faculty to fill available positions, and more. Universities enjoy free membership as well.
The website will officially be made available to universities in January 2014. However, faculty members are able to access the website beginning October 31, 2013 to ensure their information is correct.

About FacultyUSA: FacultyUSA.org is the first website of its kind in the United States, providing all faculty members in the country with a central location to update and correct their professional and education information. Universities can utilize the site to fill empty faculty positions, as well as search for information about faculty members.
