HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The threat of severe weather has some parents looking for alternatives for their children on Halloween. They said it's all about making an informed decision and having backup plans.

Wednesday night, some parents took their children to Truck-or-Treat on the campus of Alabama A&M. Kids were able to fill up on candy and fun. With bad weather moving in, parents like Jason Jones said it's important to have a backup plan and take advantage of the indoor options that are available.

"I would definitely choose other options like the mall, or the church fall festival, other things like that than going door to door," said Jones.
