ALDOT worker fatally struck by van now identified

MONTGOMERY CO., AL (WSFA) -

The Alabama Department of Public Safety is identifying the victim who was struck and killed Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery County.

Charles Ming, Jr., 54, a Letohatchee resident, was fatally injured after being hit by a minivan at the intersection of Highway 231 and Highway 82. The crash happened around 1 p.m.

Ming, an employee for the Alabama Department of Transportation, was on the job when he was killed.

Authorities say two people in the minivan were injured though the extent of the injuries was not released.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
