There are people who live in New York city who have never been to the Statue of Liberty. There are residents of St. Louis who have never been inside the Gateway Arch. And there are a lot of Alabamians who have never visited our Music Hall of Fame. After having to close its doors due to lack of funding, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame has reopened to the public.
Bentley approved a transfer of funds to help reopen the attraction. A ceremony
took place just before the release of the "Muscle Shoals" movie in
theaters. Officials know the museum is an important part of the Shoals history,
and they hope this new movie will bring in visitors. The recent
documentary about Muscle Shoals has a lot to do with the timing, and the fact
that the state has gotten so involved in getting the historic facility back
open. The documentary is a great opportunity to let others see the role Alabama
played in music history. Show your support, and hopefully the doors will stay
