RAINSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Business Organizations in Jackson and DeKalb County announced that a seminar called "Small Business Resources Workshop," previously "Doing Business with the Federal Government," will be held on Oct. 30.
This seminar will be held on the campus of Northeast Alabama Community College, in the Alabama Technology Center. Late registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the seminar will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The University of Alabama in Huntsville Small Business Development Center will help coordinate the training workshops. This year, the morning sessions will focus on government contracting, SBA programs, and the Veteran Administration's Veteran Small Business Verification Program, which is required to do business with the VA. Lunch will include a special guest speaker.
Afternoon sessions will cover social media for small businesses, how to start a business and QuickBooks.
The registration fee of $50 will cover the cost of the meal and other refreshments. Registration is limited to the first sixty people due to seating limitations.
