HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Highlands Elementary turned pink on Friday.

Hundreds of students at the school jumped rope, played kick-ball,  and even danced to a little hip-hop as part of "Fitness For the Cure".

This was something the teachers and staff encouraged as a community service project for the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund. The kids purchased pink treats and pink pencils to raise the money.

Highlands' students raised over $450.
