ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -

Athens police arrested a man who officers said hired a woman to attack his ex-wife earlier this year.

The incident happened in June. Police said Rikki Lee Corbishley stole a woman's iPhone, forced her to the ground in the middle of a Lowe's parking lot, and kicked her. Corbishley was arrested after the incident.

Since the incident, further investigation revealed that the woman's ex-husband, Andrew Miller, had arranged for Corbishley to attack the woman.

Police arrested Miller for conspiracy to commit robbery on Monday. He was booked at the Athens Police Department and transferred to the county jail.
