Arab Jr. High student killed in Atlanta car crash

Good Monday evening.

We're following the faculty and staff at Arab Junior High School one day after losing one of their own. Taigen Black, a seventh grader celebrating her 13th birthday in Atlanta with her grandparents was killed in a car wreck Sunday afternoon. We'll have reaction from a classmates and the school counselor on how the school is coping with this sudden and tragic loss.

We're also following up on the legionella outbreak in the Shoals. Health officials have traced the bacteria to a couple of cooling towers at Regency Square Mall in Florence. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux has more from officials at Regency Square on that discover, as well as reaction from residents in the area.

And with Old Man Winter about to blow into the Valley later this week with a frost, if not a freeze. WAFF 48's Shumuriel Ratliff spoke with a local heating and cooling company to get some of the do's and don'ts of getting your home ready for the Big Chill.

We'll look for you tonight at 10.
