Calhoun to offer wastewater course

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Calhoun Community College will offer a wastewater certification course starting Nov. 19.

The Wastewater Operator Certification Course will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings through the college's Workforce Solutions Department. This eighty hour course is designed for those who want to obtain Alabama wastewater certification, thereby enabling them to become a wastewater operator with Alabama municipalities. The cost of the course is $799.

Sixteen hours of the course will focus on the state exam review in order to prepare students to sit for the Grades 1 through 4 Wastewater exams. A certificate will be awarded for hours of completion.

Classes will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening in the Aerospace Training Center on the Decatur campus. The registration deadline is Nov. 8.
